If you love to fish for panfish, as I do, chances are you have heard of the Cubby Mini-Mite Jig. I have used them for many years to catch multiple species. These little jigs catch fish. However, in the last few years, I have been using the Panfishpro NEXTALGX Jig. They look the same as a Cubby Mini-Mite Jig, and I can’t say one catches more fish than the other. So, what are the real differences? This is what I have found:
Cubby Mini-Mite Jig:
5 jigs – each in a reusable tube.
Weight – 1/32 ounce.
Hook – #8 gold.
Length – 1.5 inches.
Average price – over $8.00.
Availability – Many places.
Panfishpro NEXTALGX Jig:
5 jigs – each in a reusable tube.
Weight – 1/32 ounce.
Hook – #8 gold.
Length – 1.5 inches.
Price – $6.29.
Availability – Panfishpro.
Certainly, both jigs catch fish. I know, I have used both. And each of these jigs are packaged in those little clear tubes, which is a nice feature. For me, I will continue using the Panfishpro NEXTALGX Jig, simply because the price is much better, and it seems the colors I want are always in-stock from the seller. Plus, the seller gives me free shipping when I order eight packages.
